Abstract
This study aims to determine the motives of pekanbaru teenagers in watching the autonetmagz youtube channel. This research uses qualitative research where the data is primary and secondary using data collection techniques of interviews, observation, documentation described in narrative form. The data validity technique used in this research is data tringualition by re-comparing and verifying the research data obtained. In this study there were 5 informants who were teenagers in Pekanbaru as active viewers of the autonetmagz YouTube channel which was used as the object of research. The results of this study indicate that there are 3 motives, namely information motives, social interaction motives and entertainment motives. Researchers know the because of motive factors that encourage pekanbaru teenagers to watch autonetmagz youtube channel because of the need for in-depth automotive information and make AutonetMagz a trusted reference to understand the automotive world better. As well as the purpose motive (in order to motive) Pekanbaru teenagers watch the AutonetMagz YouTube channel with the aim of fulfilling specific needs, such as getting vehicle references before purchase, increasing automotive knowledge, and expanding social relations through discussions about automotive.
