Abstract
Tourism is a strategic and potential sector for make a significant contribution to regional development, if Management is carried out regularly, directed and using marketing appropriate services and can open or expand employment opportunities for public. In efforts to develop tourism, we say that the tourism industry does not actually stand alone, but is a series of companies that produce goods and services that are different from one another. There are various determining factors in it, such as unique tourism products, smooth and continuous promotion (marketing communications) to the target market, as well as understanding tourist travel motivations and so on. In this research, the data used is in the form of perceptions of tourists who come to the Dutch Tangsi tourist attraction. This data was obtained through distributing questionnaires which were distributed directly to tourists, so that there were 80 respondents. These data are used to determine the effect of promotion on the level of tourist visits to the Dutch Tangsi tourist attraction which will later be processed using several analyzes including quantitative qualitative analysis and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS which consists of instrument testing, normality test, determination test and hypothesis testing. The research results show that the promotions at the Dutch Tangsi tourist attraction are promotions carried out on social media such as Instagram and other social media, several international events such as Tour de Siak and regular events in the Dutch Tangsi area, and other indirect tourism promotions. The level of tourist visits to the Dutch Tangsi tourist attraction varies throughout the month, with peak visits occurring during the holiday season and when events are held, with a total of 15,099 visitors in 2023. Factors such as promotions, accessibility, and special events play an important role in attracting visitors. Promotion has a positive and significant effect on the level of tourist visits to the Dutch Tangsi tourist attraction.
