Abstract
According to the Badan Pusat Statistik Kecamatan Tambang in 2022 Figures, the population of Kualu Village, Tambang District reached 33,859 people in 2022, where the population density reached 616.73 people/km2, population growth increased by 26,485 people from 2012. The increase in population affects the increase in the area built. This proves that the rapid population growth in this region can be caused by the emergence of new residential areas as a place to accommodate population growth, housing development, industry and commercial activities so as to identify the level of urban sprawl / development of residential areas and assess the development of road accessibility conditions in areas identified as urban sprawl in Kualu Village, Mining District. The results of the research show that the Urban Sprawl classification in Kualu Village is in the high category in Hamlet II with a class range of 12-14.5, the medium category is in Hamlet I with a range of 9.5-12 and the low category is in Hamlet III, Hamlet IV and Hamlet V with a range of 7-9.5. For the road network in 2012, the total length of roads was 112.91 Km and in 2022 there will be an increase in additional road sections and length to 265.5 Km. It is known that the road with the longest distance to the city center is in Hamlet II, namely 34.92 km with a travel time of around 58 minutes at a speed of 40 km/hour and Hamlet V is the shortest, namely 24.87 km with a travel time of 60 km/hour using a motorbike. For land in 2012, Kualu Village had an area of 6,001 Ha with built-up land covering an area of 891.3 Ha and non-built land covering an area of 5,109 Ha, in 2022 land in Kualu Village will increase to 6,327 Ha with built-up land covering an area of 1,285 Ha and non-built land covering an area of 5,041 Ha. It is known that the increase in land use in Kualu Village over 10 years has increased by 326 hectares, consisting of residential areas and activities therein, such as educational activities, trade and services as well as other industrial sectors. This happens because of the influence of road infrastructure on urban sprawl in Kualu Village, Tambang District.
