Abstract
The development of construction technology, especially in Indonesia, continues to develop. Many studies and research have been carried out to obtain construction specifications that are strong and economical, including concrete, which is a component that is almost always used in every construction. Substitution for materials that make up concrete can be an environmentally friendly alternative, provided it does not reduce the strength of the concrete itself. One of them is by utilizing glass waste which is mostly wasted and disturbing the environmental balance and using it as a partial replacement for fine aggregate. Additives can be used to modify the properties of concrete. In this research, the additive Consol N11 LN was used which is a superplasticizer to help the compressive strength of concrete where some of the fine aggregate has been replaced with glass powder. This research aims to determine the effect that Consol N11 LN and glass waste powder have on concrete compressive strength and concrete workability. The method used in planning this concrete mix refers to SNI 7656-2012 concerning Procedures for selecting normal concrete mixes. Compressive strength testing of concrete with the addition of glass was carried out with variations of 0%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% of the fine aggregate weight with the addition of Consol N11 LN. The glass used is glass that passes filter no. 4 (maximum grain size 4.75 mm). The compressive strength results obtained at the age of 28 days by replacing some of the sand with glass powder and Consol N11 LN by 1% increased. The highest increase occurred in the variation of sand substitution with 10% glass powder with the addition of 1% Consol N11 Ln, namely with an average compressive strength of 38.97 Mpa. This value increases by 25.5% from normal concrete whose average compressive strength value is 31.05 Mpa. In this way, glass waste can be used as a substitute for sand for concrete mixtures because it can have a positive influence on concrete performance.
