Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of collaboration skills of students in grade 10 in learning Fiqh at MAN 1 Pekanbaru City. This study aimed to investigate the influence of problem-based learning method on students’ collaboration skills in learning Fiqh at MAN 1 Pekanbaru city. The type of the study was quantitative with a correlational approach. The population of the study consisted of 400 students with 15% of the sample, namely 60 students. The data collection techniques of the study were questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques of the study were validation, reliability, normality, linearity and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of data processing and data analysis, it was found that the hypothesis testing on the influence of problem-based learning method on students’ collaboration skills in learning Fiqh at MAN 1 Pekanbaru City was accepted with a significant value of p = 0.01 < 0.05. The magnitude of the influence between the problem-based learning method and the students' collaboration skills was 0.106 or 10.6%, while the remainings were influenced by other factors not included in this study.
