Abstract

This research was motivated by the moral problems of students at MAN 4 Pekanbaru. According to students, moral problems are known from several symptoms, such as that some students still often say dirty words, while in the family environment they are taught to say good words and teachers have also provided education not to say dirty words. There are also some students who don't pay attention to their teachers during breaks because they are too focused on themselves, while in the family environment they have been taught to respect older people when dealing with us and teachers have also provided similar education. This research aims to determine the influence of the family environment on the morals of class X students at MAN 4 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative with a correlation approach. The population in this study was 118 students and the sample was 92 using proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. From the results of the hypothesis test with a value of F = 11,928 and a significance value of 0.001, it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the family environment on the morals of class X students at MAN 4 Pekanbaru. The magnitude of the influence can be seen in the summary table with an R Square value of 0.117 or 11.7%. This shows that student morals are influenced by the family environment by 11.7%. So it can be concluded that the results of this research are that there is an influence of the family environment on the morals of class X students at MAN 4 Pekanbaru.
