Abstract

The design of a fuel filter cleaning tool is a design of a tool that uses fluid pressure to drive dirt in the fuel filter. This research aims to design a fuel filter cleaning tool for four-wheeled motorized vehicles which will have the benefit of making it easier for mechanics to clean the fuel filter on four-wheeled vehicles and the dust resulting from cleaning the fuel filter can be collected so that it does not produce air pollution which can affect the mechanic's health. Alone. In this research, compressor pressure of 20 Psi, 40 Psi and 60 Psi was used using a variety of pipes measuring 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch. The results of the tool testing showed that the fluid pressure was good at a compressor pressure of 60 Psi and a pipe diameter of 1.27 cm with the highest pressure being 168.5545 kPa. The increase in net weight when testing occurred at a pressure of 60 Psi using a pipe with a diameter of 1.27 cm in 2 minutes was 45.86 grams. The resulting material cost within 2 minutes is 1360/fuel filter.
