Abstract
The design of this press tool is intended as a tool to help the community. The working principle of this tool is to utilize a hydraulic system on a bottle jack that uses Pascal's law. The problems that usually occur in the field usually originate from entrepreneurs or workshop owners, namely the price of tools or press machines that are too expensive and also have few functions, ultimately not all automotive workshops can afford to have this machine. In the design of this press tool, the type used is a manual press tool which does not involve electrical elements with the aim of saving costs so that it is suitable for use in society. The main component of this tool is a hydraulic bottle jack which has a maximum capacity of 5 tons, which means that the press frame must also be able to withstand a maximum load of 5 tons. The frame uses U 80 channel steel material which has a tensile strength of 370 N/mm2. In the bending calculations, each frame experiences a stress of 218.75 N/mm2, the welding load shear stress that occurs is 33.97 N/mm2, and the tensile stress that occurs is 21.875 N/mm2 where all calculations that occur are still below the safe limit of tensile strength. permission of the frame material.
