Abstract

The importance of workplace safety and health for companies should not be underestimated, considering that accidents and illnesses affecting workers have direct and indirect impacts on both the workers themselves and the company. The main problem under investigation is how to ensure workplace safety and health protection for employees at PT. Citra Intel Pratama, and what factors hinder the implementation of safety and health guarantees for workers at PT. Citra Intel Pratama. The research method used is interviews, which involve interactions between the researcher and the research subjects by asking a series of questions to gather information about the research topic, conducted face-to-face. The research findings indicate that the Occupational Health and Safety Protection at PT. Citra Intel Pratama for Workers based on Law Number 13 of 2003 on Manpower in Pekanbaru City has not been fully implemented due to insufficient availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the company. The workers do not use personal protective equipment as they should during their work activities, and the OHS facilities have not been adequately fulfilled due to limited resources for updates or additions. However, PT. Citra Intel Pratama has provided assurance of occupational health and safety to its workers through health insurance, namely Jamsostek. The factors hindering the Occupational Health and Safety Protection at PT. Citra Intel Pratama for Workers based on Law Number 13 of 2003 on Manpower in Pekanbaru City are the low awareness of the importance of workplace safety among the workers and the limited resources available to provide Occupational Health and Safety programs.
