Abstract

This research aims to determine the performance of the village head in implementing development in Air Putih Village, Lubuk Batu Jaya District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The type of research used in this research is a descriptive survey with qualitative methods. Research informants came from the village government and village community. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research concluded that the performance of the village head in development in Air Putih Village, Lubuk Batu Jaya District, Indragiri Hulu Regency has shown a better direction. Where the development carried out by the village government is still small in terms of the type and amount of budget allocated. The budget absorption for development is quite small. One of the reasons for the small amount of development carried out is the lack of community involvement in providing proposals that suit needs and policies that serve as guidelines or references, so that the use of the village budget is not optimal in village development.
