Abstract

This study was motivated by the environmental factors of the students which greatly influenced their Quran memorization, especially with the many activities the should do as students. The activities always made them busy so that those affected their emotional state, if there were problems in the dormitory while they were doing muraja'ah then it could disturbed their emotions which affected the interest in learning, especially memorizing muraja'ah when in halaqah. Apart from that, the social environmental factors of the students also had an effect, such as the playing environment with their peers. With these conditions of the students, it was needed special attention to maintain the smooth memorization of the Quran by implementing the muraja'ah method. The problem formulation of the study was how the implementation of Muraja'ah method on students’ Quran memorization at the As-Salam Islamic Boarding School of Kampar was carried out. The aim of the study was to investigate the implementation of Muraja'ah method on students’ Quran memorization at the As-Salam Islamic Boarding School of Kampar. The subject of the study was the Tahfidz Teacher at the As-Salam Islamic Boarding School. Meanwhile, the object of of the study was the implementation of Muraja'ah method on students’ Quran memorization at the As-Salam Islamic Boarding School in Naga Beralih village of Kampar regency, Riau province. The type of this study was qualitative research with the observations of social phenomena or symptoms. The data collection techniques of the study were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques of the study were conducted with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusions. The results of the study showed that the implementation of Muroja'ah method on students’ Quran memorization at the As- Salam Islamic Boarding School of Kampar had run quite effectively and achieved the target of memorization even though there were several students who faced some obstacles especially for the students who lived in the dormitory because they could not manage their time well.
