Abstract

This research aims to determine the objective level of the role of village- owned enterprises in improving livestock businesses in Mengkirau Village, Tasik Putri Puyu District, Meranti Islands Regency. Variable Indicators in the Theory of the Role of BUMDes in Improving Livestock Businesses are Regulators, Dynamisators, Facilitators. The type of research located in Mengkirau Village is Qualitative Descriptive, namely prioritizing a list of interview session questions asked by researchers. In this research, the Key Informant is the Chair of the Beringin Taluk Village Consultative Body and the Informants are the Head of Mengkirau Village, the Managing Director of BUMDes, along with the composition of BUMDes members and the Village Community. In this case, the Informant Withdrawal Technique uses the Purposive Sampling Technique, which is used to pay attention to considerations related to informants who understand the problems in this research. Types and Techniques of Data Collection, namely Primary Data collected in the form of interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data is collected using observation. The data analysis technique is using information from research results using descriptive qualitative methods. The conclusion of this research is that the role of village-owned enterprises in improving livestock businesses in Mengkirau Village, Tasik Putri Puyu District, Meranti Islands Regency is considered not good. where obstacles were encountered, including a lack of budget in funding the capital costs of the livestock business, leading to a Bankruptcy Deficit IN the Egg - Laying Chiken Farming business
