Abstract

This research aims to determine the main influence of bird droppings quail and Mutiara NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) on Red and Yellow Podzolic media in prenursery nurseries. This research was carried out at the Agricultural Faculty Experimental Garden Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Subdistrict Cold Water, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. Research carried out for 4 months starting from February to May 2023. Research This method uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. Factor The first is quail droppings consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 200, 400, and 600 g/plant and the second factor, NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 dose consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 15, 30, and 45 g/plant so there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 repetition. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaf midribs, stem diameter, wet weight, leaf length, and root length. Data analyzed statistically and continued (BNJ) at 5%. Based on the research results has been carried out, it can be concluded that giving quail droppings and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 has a significant effect on stem diameter parameters, wet weight, root length, plant height, number of leaf sheaths, and length leaf. The main effect of quail droppings was evident on all parameters. The best treatment is quail droppings 600 g/plant.Main influence Mutiara NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 was significant for all observed parameters. The best treatment is NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 45 g/plant.
