Abstract

Research with the title "Effect of POC ketapang leaves and NPK 16:16:16 on the yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.) in Podzolic land Merah Kuning” was implemented at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University for 4 months from February to May 2023. The research aims to determine the main interaction effect of leaf POC Ketapang and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and yield of onion plants red in the Red and Yellow Podzolic land. Research uses design Complete Random Factorial with 3 replications. The first factor is concentration POC of ketapang leaves consists of 4 concentration levels, namely 0, 100, 200 and 300 ml per liter of water and the second factor is the dose of NPK 16:16:16 with 4 levels, namely 0 .15, 30 and 45 g per plot. The parameters observed were: plant height, age harvest, number of tubers per cluster, wet tuber weight per cluster, dry tuber weight per bush, tuber weight loss, and tuber dry weight per tuber. Research result showed that there was an interaction between the POC concentration of ketapang leaves and the NPK dose 16:16:16 real impact on plant height, wet weight of tubers per hill, weight tuber drying per hill and tuber weight loss. The best treatment for leaf POC Ketapang with a concentration of 300 ml/liter of water and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer 45 g/plot. The main effect of POC of ketapang leaves was significant on all observation parameters with the best treatment of 300 ml/liter of water. The main influence of NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 real impact on plant height, maturity, number of tubers, wet weight of tubers, weight tuber drying, and tuber weight loss with the best treatment, namely 45 g/plot.
