Abstract

The role of human resources or employees is the main asset of the Company which has a dominant influence on the success of the Company. One of the things that needs to be considered in human resource management is employee performance. Some things that influence employee performance are job satisfaction and extrinsic motivation. This research aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction and extrinsic motivation on employee performance at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Padang Lawas. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study amounted to 63 respondents. The number of samples in this study was 43 respondents Purposive Sampling. The data collection tool used in this research was a questionnaire. The research results showed that partially job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, partially extrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and simultaneously job satisfaction and extrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance.
