Abstract
The high demand for iPhones has resulted in the creation of quite high competition for business actors and iPhone distributors to compete to market and distribute iPhones. However, it is unfortunate that with the development of technology that makes the distribution process of goods easier, this has actually backfired on consumers because various products have emerged that can harm consumers. One of them is the presence of iPhone ex international. The formulation of the problem in this problem, there are two main problems, namely first, how is the legal protection for ex-international iPhone users in terms of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (study of Atra Stores and Exporters), second, what is the responsibility of business actors regarding consumer complaints after buying an iPhone ex international. This research uses sociological and empirical legal research, namely a legal research method that functions to be able to see the law in a real sense, researching the implementation of legal protection for ex-international iPhone consumers as well as the responsibilities of business actors towards consumers in accordance with the UUPK. The implementation of legal protection for ex-international iPhone consumers does not fulfill the consumer rights described in Article 4 UUPK which should be obtained by consumers. When viewed from the aspect of business actors, business actors should be responsible for fulfilling consumer rights. From the government aspect, the government must also be involved in monitoring goods to be imported into Indonesia. For the responsibilities given by business actors to consumers, business actors must carry out responsibilities in accordance with Article 19 UUPK because they made mistakes by dishonestly providing product information to consumers and carrying out responsibilities that were not in accordance with the agreement before purchase.
