Abstract

This research is about the effect of bokashi tithonia and POMI liquid fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicium L.) which has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University Islam Riau for 3 months, starting from June to August 2023. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of interaction and influence main bokashi tithonia and POMI liquid fertilizer on growth and yield shallot plant (Allium ascalonicum L.). Design used in this research is a Completely Randomized Factorial Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is bokashi tithonia (T) with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 1.5, 3, 4.5 kg per plot and the second factor is POMI liquid fertilizer concentration (P) with 4 The treatment levels were 5, 10, 15 cc/l of water so that 16 treatment combinations were obtained. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that 48 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate (LPR), number of tubers per hill, harvest age, wet weight of tubers per hill, dry weight bulbs per cluster, loss of tuber weight, and grade of shallot bulbs. Data analyzed using analysis of variance and continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ). level 5%. The results showed that the interaction of bokashi tithonia and POMI liquid fertilizer significantly affects the parameters of harvest age, tuber wet weight per cluster, dry weight of bulbs per cluster and weight loss of shallot bulbs. On average, the best treatment is a combination of bokashi titonia 4.5 kg/plot and POMI concentration of 15 cc/l water (T3P3).
