Abstract

Agroindustry and Marketing of Keripik Pisang Gosong in Teratak Village, Sei Balai District, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra Province under the Guidance of Mr. Heriyanto, SP., M.Si The agricultural sector is a source of raw material media in the agro-processing industry for employment as well as utilizing market opportunities for burnt banana chips. This study aims to analyze: 1) business characteristics and profile; 2) agro-industry of burnt banana chips; 3) marketing of burnt banana chips. This research was conducted in Teratak Village, Sei Balai District, Batu Bara Regency from February to July 2024. The method used was the census method. To answer the objectives of this study, it was analyzed by descriptive analysis and hayami method. First, the average age of entrepreneurs is 49 years old or at a productive age. Duration of education 7 years, 7 years of business experience. The number of family dependents is 4 people. The number of family members is 2 people. The average trader is 38 years old, 12 years of education, 6 years of business experience, 3 family members, and 1 family dependent. The profile of the burnt banana chips business is a household-scale business with capital derived from own capital. Both agro-industrial businesses use raw materials with an average of 112 combs/process, supporting materials used cooking oil, butter, as well as other input contributions of packaging plastic, cardboard. Technology still uses traditional technology such as slicing knives to slice bananas, then stoves for frying. Production costs incurred were IDR 713,227 per production process with the production of 31.11 kg of burnt banana chips. Gross income of IDR 995,520 / production process, net income of burnt banana chips production of IDR 282,293 / production process. The average contribution of housewife income to family income reached 28.66%. The amount of Return Cost of Ratio (RCR) in the business of burnt banana chips amounted to 1.40%. The value added of burnt banana chips is Rp 2,693/kg and the profit from banana fruit processing is Rp 2,255/kg. Third, the marketing margin in marketing channel I obtained by entrepreneurs amounted to Rp 10,008 / Kg, the marketing cost was Rp 643 / Kg, the marketing efficiency was 2.01% and the Farmer's share was 45%. While marketing channel II total marketing costs of Rp 1,157 / Kg, marketing efficiency of 2.31%, for marketing margins of Rp 27,303 / Kg and Farmer's share of 69%, so the most efficient channel is channel I because the efficiency is lower than marketing channel II and Farmer's share is higher marketing channel I than Marketing channel II.
