Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the interaction effect and main factors of bagasse compost and TSP fertilizer on the growth and production of green bean plants (vigna radiata l.) on PMK soil. This research was carried out at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113 Marpoyan, Air Winter Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was carried out from November 2022 to February 2023. The design used in this research was a factorial completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is bagasse compost consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely without treatment, 900, 1800 and 2,700 g/plot and the second factor is TSP fertilizer consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely without treatment, 9, 18 and 27 g/plot so there are 16 Combining treatment with 3 replications, 48 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per planting, percentage of fruity pods, wet weight of seeds per planting, dry weight of seeds per planting, weight of 100 seeds. The data was analyzed statistically and continued with a 5% honest significant difference (BNJ) test. The results of the research showed that the interaction of bagasse compost and TSP had an effect on plant height, maturity, number of pods per planting, percentage of fruity pods, wet seed weight per planting, dry seed weight per planting, weight of 100 seeds. The best treatment is bagasse compost 2,700 g/plot and TSP fertilizer 27 g/plot.
