Abstract

Work refers to all activities carried out by humans with the aim of earning wages to sustain human life. One form of work that is done is becoming a workforce at the Alfamart retail store, and based on the need to sustain human life, protection for the workforce is necessary. To understand the practice of employee salary deductions and the Positive Legal Perspective on Alfamart Employee Salary Deductions Due to Company Property Loss (Study at Alfamart Air Hitam, Simpang Baru, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau), whether it complies with Law Number 13 of 2003. The research conducted by the author establishes the main issues, namely how the implementation of wage cuts by the Alfamart Air Hitam retail store and how legal protection against wage cuts for Alfamart Air Hitam workers is based on Law Number 13 of 2003. This type of research is classified as empirical legal research, which involves directly visiting Alfamart Air Hitam Pekanbaru to collect data. The nature of this research is descriptive, and the data collection methods used by the author for this study are through interviews and documentation from a number of respondents previously determined by the author. Based on teh author’s research on Legal Protection for Alfamart Air Hitam, Pekanbaru workers based on Law Number 13 of 2003. Namely regarding Wage Protection as every worker has the right to receive wages in accordance with the Employment Contract they have agreed upon. And what obstacles are faced in the implementation of wage deductions for Alfamart Air Hitam workers based on Law Number 13 of 2003.
