Abstract
Research on the effect of colchicine concentration and soaking time on the Growth and Production of Renek Long Bean Plants (Vigna sesquipedalis unguiculata). has been implemented in the Faculty's experimental garden Agriculture, Riau Islamic University. carried out for 4 months, from month to month September to December 2022. The aim of the research is to determine the effect colchicine concentration and soaking time on growth and production long beans (Vigna unguiculata sesquipedalis). This research using a Completely Randomized Design, which consists of two factors. Factor The first is the colchicine concentration, there are 4 treatment levels: 0, 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.09% and the second factor is soaking time 6, 12, 18, 24 hours. Every treatment consisting of 3 repetitions to obtain 48 experimental units. In units In the experiment there were 4 plants and 2 were used as observation samples taken randomly to obtain 192 plants. The parameter observed is high plant, flowering time, harvest time, number of pods, longest pod length, weight of planted pods, number of remaining fruit. Observational data is analyzed sequentially statistics and carried out with the Advanced Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The research results showed that the effect of colchicine and soaking time was significant on the parameters of flowering age, harvest age, number of pods, pod weight, pod length and number of remaining fruit. but it is not real for high parameters plant. The best combination treatment is 0.09% colchicine concentration and long 24 hour immersion The main effect of colchicine concentration was significant on parameters of flowering age, harvest age, number of pods, pod weight, length pods and number of remaining fruit. However, it has no real effect on the parameters plant height. The best main treatment is colchicine, with a colchicine concentration of 0.09%.
