Abstract

The implementation of dispute resolution carried out through mediation at the Dharmasraya land office is a process carried out to reconcile or provide a solution for the parties experiencing a dispute. Land disputes have been an issue for a long time and have become a long-lasting problem. The existence of a land office can be one of the institutions that can resolve this problem. The existence of a mediator provided by the land office is a form of effort to resolve the dispute. The main problem of this research is, how to implement land dispute resolution through mediation at the land office as well as the obstacles and efforts of the Dharmasraya land office in resolving these land problems. The method used in this research is empirical legal research by conducting research on the implementation of land dispute resolution through mediation at the Dharmasraya district land office. The data collection technique is through direct interviews with the land office, especially the section in this field. Meanwhile, the nature of the research in this research is descriptive analytical, namely a picture of the field as a whole. From the results of this research, it can be seen that the Dharmasraya land office has carried out land dispute resolution through mediation, while the obstacle faced by the Dharmasraya land office is the absence of the parties in resolving the dispute, making mediation difficult to carry out. The efforts made by the land office itself are to provide summons and provide mediators who are active in resolving disputes.
