Abstract

Special houses for fishermen have helped the community in meeting the basic needs of fishermen for housing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the housing assistance program specifically for fishermen from the ministry of public works and public housing. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data obtained from informants and key informants. Selection of informants as a source of research data using snowball sampling technique. Based on the results of the research and discussion that the effectiveness of the special fisherman housing assistance program of the ministry of public works and public housing in Teluk Batil village, Sungai Apit sub-district, Siak district, from the indicators of program effectiveness with indicators of program target determination, program socialization, program goal achievement, program monitoring, this research has been ongoing. with the aim of the fishermen's special house assistance program. So that it is hoped that the facilities and infrastructure for housing assistance specifically for fishermen can ease the basic burden on the head of the family, as well as improve the family's economy
