Abstract

Issues related to legal protection are the main focus of the Indonesian nation, because there are various challenges related to child protection. The concrete form of child protection os to realize legal certainty for children. This research is motivated by the importance of confidentiality of the identity of children in conflict with the law, but in its application it has its own challenges because there are some reports that do not keep the identity of children in conflict with the law confidential. As for the problems in this study: 1. How is the mechanism of protection of children in conflict with the law on the confidentiality of identity in criminal law enforcement, 2. Whether the mechanism of protection of children in conflict with the law on the confidentiality of identity in criminal law enforcement has been implemented effectively. The research method used is normative legal research which has the object of study of the rules or rules of law. However, the normative research chosen by the author still requires additional data obtained from interviews in order to strengthen the author's argument. The legal materials used are primary legal materials from legislation and secondary legal materials obtained from interviews which aim to strengthen the author's argumentation. And the nature of this research is descriptive analytical. The nature of this research is descriptive analytical. From the results of this study, the author concludes that the mechanism of protection of children in conflict with the law on the confidentiality of identity in criminal law enforcement is not only the responsibility of the state, but also the responsibility of the community at large. The responsibility of society at large. The mechanism of protection of children in conflict with the law over the confidentiality of identity in criminal law enforcement has not been fully effective because there are still challenges in its application so that it requires the collaboration of various parties so that the mechanism can run effectively.
