Abstract
This research is entitled The Effect of Providing Oil Palm Tankos Compost Fertilizer and AB Mix Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Purple Eggplant Plants (Solanum melongena L). This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University for four months, starting from July to October 2022. This research aims to determine the interaction effect and main influence of oil palm tankos compost and AB Mix on the growth and production of purple eggplant. The design used was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (RALF) which consisted of two factors. The first factor is the provision of oil palm tankos compost which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely; 0, 1, 2.5, and 4 kg/plot and the second factor was the administration of AB Mix which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 1000, 1500 and 2000 ppm so that 48 experimental plots were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per fruit, and fruit length. The observation data was analyzed statistically and continued with a further Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results of the research showed that the interaction of providing oil palm tankos compost and AB mix fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of fruit per plant, the weight of the fruit per plant, the weight of the fruit per fruit and the length of the longest fruit. The best treatment is 4 kg/plot oil palm tankos compost and 2000 ppm AB Mix. The main effect of providing palm oil tankos compost was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was 4 kg palm oil tankos compost/plot. The main effect of AB Mix fertilizer was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was at a dose of 2000 ppm.
