Abstract
MARINE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN ANAMBAS ISLANDS DISTRICT ABSTRACT By ABDUL KADIR Anambas Islands Regency, has various privileges because have tourist attraction. This privilege is not only in terms of nature (sea and land) but also historical aspects and the uniqueness of local culture, traditions that are still strong. The data shows that the tourist attractions in this area are spread across 9 (nine) sub-districts, both natural, cultural-historical and man-made in a total of 199 tourist attractions. Law Number 10 of 2009 concerning tourism states that a tourist attraction is anything that has uniqueness, beauty, and value in the form of a diversity of natural, cultural, and man-made assets that serve as a means or destination for tourist visits. A tourist attraction which is also called a tourist attraction is a potential that drives the presence of tourists to a tourist destination. This type of research is qualitative. The number of research informants was 8 people with the Head of the Tourism Office as the key informant. The results of this study are that the Marine Tourism Development Strategy in Anambas Islands Regency can be concluded that it is not optimal, especially in the Environment, Direction and Learning indicators. This fact shows that the tourism development of Anambas Islands Regency is directed at the theme of natural tourism (maritime ecotourism) supported by cultural/historical heritage and artificial tourism. However, this has not been supported by the existing facilities and infrastructure in Anambas Islands Regency. Such as the availability of transportation, lodging and regional culinary tours. The strategy for developing marine tourism in Anambas Islands Regency is carried out by increasing tourist attractions and increasing the number of tourist visits. The preparation of the Tourism Master Plan is a guideline for tourism planning and development patterns in Anambas Islands Regency. As well as factors that hinder the development of marine tourism in Anambas Islands Regency are accessibility, airports, ports, clean water and budget requirements.
