Abstract

This study entitled Effect of Organic NPK Fertilizer and AB Mix Nutrition on cocoa (Theobroma cacao L) seedlings in PMK soil media. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 4 months from August to November 2022. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of Organic NPK Fertilizer and AB Mix Nutrition on Cocoa Seedlings (Theobroma cacao L) in PMK Soil Media . This study used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor is Organic NPK which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 50, 100, 150 g/polybag. The second is AB Mix Nutrition which consists of 4 levels, namely 0.1500 ppm, 2000 ppm, 2500 ppm per polybag resulting in 16 treatment combinations consisting of 3 replications so there are 48 experimental units. In each experimental unit there were 4 plants and 2 plants were used as samples which were taken randomly so that the total number of plants was 192 plants. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, widest leaf width, longest leaf length, number of secondary roots and root canopy ratio. The results showed that the interaction between Organic NPK Fertilizer and AB Mix Nutrients was not significantly different in the parameters of number of leaves, widest leaf width, and stem diameter. The best treatment was a combination of 150 g Organic NPK per plant and 2000 ppm AB Mix Nutrients per plant.
