Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the geological conditions of the research area, determine the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of limestone, microfacies and their distribution in facies zones and determine the development of limestone diagenesis in the research area. The methods used are surface geological mapping and laboratory analysis. Based on the analysis of geological conditions carried out in the research area, two geomorphological units were found, namely the Slightly Steep Structural Hills Geomorphological Unit and the Structural Steep Hills Geomorphological Unit. The flow patterns are the dendritic flow pattern and the sub-dendritic flow pattern. The stratigraphy of the research area obtained from old to young is the Andesite Unit, Limestone Unit, and Carbonated Sandstone Unit. The results of the analysis of limestone characteristics obtained 5 facies associations, namely the Mudstone Facies Association, Wackstone Facies Association, Packstone Facies Association, Grainstone Facies Association, and Crystalline. Microfacies and their distribution in facies zones are found in the layered mudstone association is at SMF:3 with FZ:3, the layered wackstone facies association is at SMF:3 with FZ:3, the oncoid packstone facies association is at SMF:22 with FZ:8, the association Fossilized Grainstone facies is at SMF:18 with FZ:7 to FZ:8. The results of the development of diagenesis in the limestone of the research area are compaction, neomorphism, microbial micritization and cementation.
