Abstract
In this era of globalization, technological developments are developing very rapidly along with the increasingly advanced human mindset. The desire to always create a work of art is undergoing gradual, competitive change in order to create convenience for the people themselves, supported by sophisticated devices. These conditions inspired the author to create an economical and efficient tool with qualitative results. This will not be achieved if an industry still uses a manual system, the majority of which uses the services of human workers. For example, in a tank car at a Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) which has an oil storage tank, the volume or surface level must always be monitored to find out how much fuel oil (BBM) is still left in the tank. This research aims to create an internet of things (IoT) based gas station tank monitoring system using ultrasonic sensors. This system uses two sensors, namely an ultrasonic sensor and a DHT 22 sensor. This tool was tested using diesel fuel and monitored using the blynk application. The results of this test are that the ultrasonic sensor is able to monitor the volume of fuel oil, and the DHT22 sensor is capable of monitoring the volume, temperature and humadity in tanks at gas stations which can be monitored via the blynk application.
