Abstract
In modern times, poultry farming requires a technology to increase the harvest period by using a machine to help the egg hatching process. Before the technology developed, chicken farming still used conventional means, The hatching success rate was only between 50 and 60 percent if natural hatching was used. The egg embryo may not develop properly as a result of such failure, which may be caused by unstable environmental conditions. In addition, In the process of hatching poultry eggs must be paid special attention, especially to the temperature of the poultry egg hatching machine. Because if the eggs produced are not immediately removed from the hatchery, the saplings may die because they have been in the hatchery for a long time, and this can interfere with the incubation system of other eggs. The optimum temperature and humidity required for hatching ranges from 37°C - 39°C and humidity is in the range of 55% – 65%. The purpose of this study is to design an egg hatching machine that can be monitored for temperature and dandruff based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system is capable of temperature and humidity monitoring using DHT11 sensors. And the data will be sent to the MySQL database. The PIR sensor will detect movement and send alarms in the form of buzzers and telegram notifications. The AC motor is used to rotate the egg rack so that the egg heat is evenly distributed. The test results of the egg hatching machine for 21 days using 2 native chicken eggs, 1 hatched and 1 did not hatch. The failure is because before being put into the hatching machine, the eggs are not cleaned first, which causes the eggs to be contaminated with dirt and bacteria.
