Abstract
Good education is an important aspect of development that will bring great benefits to the intellectual and social development of society. Therefore, education needs to adapt to technological developments. English education at the junior high school level requires an interesting and different approach to strengthening students' language skills. Active involvement in the learning process is very important to achieve these goals. One learning media that can make students interested in learning is game media. The Snakes and Ladders game was chosen because it can combine educational and entertainment aspects. The impacts that will arise from implementing the Snakes and Ladders Game as an English learning medium include increasing interest and motivation in learning, increasing students' understanding of the material presented, developing playing and learning skills simultaneously, and evaluating whether technology-based learning media can help improve learning. at school. This application was created with Unity software using the GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) method. The results are appropriate, based on UI testing using the black box testing method, and according to Likert scale calculations the index value obtained is 79.65%. And it can be concluded that respondents are of the opinion that "The Snakes and Ladders Game Application as an Android-based English Language Learning Media" works well as a medium for the tense learning process for grade 8 junior high school students.
