Abstract

Law enforcement regarding criminal acts of theft of palm oil fruit is an important issue that affects the plantation sector and security in the jurisdiction of the Kunto Darussalam Police considering that cases of theft of palm oil fruit are increasing every year. Not a few cases of palm oil theft are carried out by the community or people which is very detrimental to the owners of oil palm plantations or the community often calls them private plantations which are managed by the community themselves, not managed by palm oil companies. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze law enforcement regarding criminal acts of theft of palm oil fruit, the factors that influence the occurrence of theft, as well as the obstacles faced by law enforcement officials in handling these cases. After knowing this, it is hoped that cases of oil palm fruit theft in the Kunto Darussalam Police jurisdiction will decrease. The main problem in this research is how to enforce the law against perpetrators of criminal acts of palm oil theft in the jurisdiction of the Kunto Darussalam Sector Police and what are the obstacles for the police in enforcing the law against perpetrators of palm oil theft in the jurisdiction of the Kunto Darussalam Sector Police. The research carried out is an empirical legal research method using research or field observations by means of direct surveys in the field, to collect primary data and secondary data obtained from respondents through interviews to combine data or information as writing material in this research. From the results of the research, what the author got is that the law enforcement efforts carried out by the Kunto Darussalam Police in the criminal act of palm oil theft in the jurisdiction of the Kunto Darussalam Police include receiving reports, identifying violations of the law, carrying out inquiries and investigations, and the results of the investigation will be submitted. to the public prosecutor. Meanwhile, the obstacles occur due to the lack of clarity in the legislation that regulates the criminal act of theft of palm oil fruit, lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure at the Kunto Darussalam Police, lack of personnel (HR) at the Kunto Darussalam Police, and lack of community participation to become witnesses in crime cases. crime of theft of oil palm fruit in the Kunto Darussalam sub-district area.
