Abstract

The X and Y commingle wells in the Langgak Field experienced a significant decrease in production, at the X well of 1150 BFPD to 859 BFPD at the Y well of 248 BFPD to 190 BFPD. To analyze the decline, a swabbing job was carried out to obtain data. After the swabbing job is done, the data obtained at well X is TOTAL LOAD 56.65 bbl, SFL 0, WFL 0, Q 1252.3 bbl/d, PI 9.3, WC 98%, Qmax 2988.471 BFPD while at well Y TOTAL LOAD 60.42 bbl, SFL 63 ft, WFL 655 ft, Q 432 bbl/d, PI 1.7, WC 97%, Qmax 619.2931. From this data by comparing the results of the criteria, the pump selection is in the ESP for wells X and Y. To ensure that because this is a very critical job, a pipesim software simulation is carried out to determine the right type and series of pumps for the well. In well X, the ESP was found to be REDA D2400N series with a pump capable of producing 2383,304 STB/d, 25 stages and a frequency of 50 Hz while in well Y, the ESP was TD600 series with a pump capable of producing 497.3689 STB/d, 25 stages and a frequency of 60 Hz.
