Abstract

Social Responsibility (CSR) is one form of company commitment to the surrounding environment in participating in building the economy, social, culture, education, health, and environment. PT. Wana Jingga Timur which processes natural resources into products with sales value is obliged to improve the quality and quantity of the surrounding community, so as to provide better changes in the surrounding environment. ?The main objective to be achieved is to find out how the Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and what are the obstacles to the Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at PT. Wana Jingga Timur in Pesikaian Village, Cerenti District, Kuantan Singingi Regency in terms of Law Number 40 of 2007 Concerning Limited Liability Companies. ?This research is an empirical legal research (observation research) or by means of a direct survey by determining informants as sources of information. Data collection was carried out by means of direct observation to the research location, then using an interview sheet as a tool for collecting basic data information, and documentation as authentic evidence of the research results. ?The results of the study on the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT. Wana Jingga Timur can be concluded that: PT. Wana Jingga Timur has implemented its Corporate Social Responsibility Program consisting of Education, Health, Social, Infrastructure, Environment, Community Empowerment where all CST activities are carried out by the company on a district scale. Meanwhile, for CSR in Pesikaian Village it is only limited to opening jobs for the surrounding community, providing social assistance once a year, most of which are recipients of family members of employees employed by the company, then there are educational activities by providing transportation services for children of employees who go to school outside the company. However, the Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT. Wana Jingga Timur has several obstacles, namely the lack of positive response from the community to participate in activities because the CSR issued by the company does not target the community around the company, administrative sanctions are still weak for violators of commitments from the local government which results in the company carrying out its obligations to its employees being determined as one form of CSR
