Abstract
The dominant production stages carried out in Indonesia are primary and secondary. These two production stages still leave a significant amount of oil in the reservoir. Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) is an advanced production technique used to increase the recovery of oil that cannot be produced during the primary and secondary stages. EOR methods are generally applied to fields with heavy oil, and one of the thermal EOR methods used for reservoirs with heavy oil is steamflood. In this study, several parameters were used, including injection rate, injection temperature, steam quality, injection time, porosity, and well spacing. After modeling using CMG-STARS, followed by sensitivity analysis of the parameters using CMG-CMOST with iterations, the results showed that the most influential parameters on steamflood were well spacing at 57% and steam quality at 1%. Based on the steam quality and well spacing values, the best scenario with a steam quality of 0.675 (fraction) and well spacing of 174.75 ft resulted in a recovery factor of 45.43%.
