Abstract
The attendance system has an important role in daily life, especially in schools, universities, factories, hospital offices and other places that require attendance. Attendance systems usually use ID cards, finger print or manually. The attendance system needs updating so that students can take attendance quickly and don't have to queue to be absent. One of the innovations is using the Android-based MVVM architecture concept. The research used Asus FM26TRLV laptop hardware and Samsung A51 2020 Android smartphone and Android Studio Chipmunk 2021.2.1, Xampp 7.4.29, Visual Studio Code and Android Emulator software. The research stage is Analysis of the proposed system, Context Diagram, Hierarchy Chart, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), System Design, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), Schematic Table, Class Diagram, Flow chart. The results of this research. The use of QR Code technology in creating an attendance system provides convenience and security in the attendance process for the users involved. It makes it easier for lecturers, laboratory assistants or assistants to recap practicum attendance. Recapitulations can be downloaded and printed in Excel form.
