Abstract
The Utilization of Social-Media on Tiktok Account @Vmuliana as Information for Fresh Graduates at the Islamic University of Riau Syifa Isnaini Yasminda 199110051 This research aims to explore the utilization of the social media platform Tiktok, specifically the account @Vmuliana, as a source of information for fresh graduates at the Islamic University of Riau. Tiktok has become increasingly popular as a platform for disseminating information, knowledge, and educational tips, with @Vmuliana being one of the valuable sources of career-related information, serving as a guide for new graduates during the transition from the academic world to the professional world. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method, and data were obtained from four informants using the snowball sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through interviews and documentation. The research is grounded in the uses and gratification theory, which explains that an audience is considered an active user as they consciously choose the type of media they want to consume and take part in evaluating the quality of information obtained from that media. The findings of this research are as follows: 1. The Tiktok account @Vmuliana provides career tips for fresh graduates entering the job market. 2. The application of information from @Vmuliana's content in facing the challenges of the job market. The utilization of social media on the Tiktok account @Vmuliana can help new graduates prepare themselves effectively for their future careers.
