Abstract

Web-based administration of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Islamic University of Riau uses the Laravel Framework which is designed for students, heads of administration, administrative staff, deans, deputy deans and heads of study programs at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Islamic University of Riau to manage mail administration. The problem faced by the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Riau Islamic University is currently using a manual office administration system. This system requires time and energy in distributing documents so that it is difficult to manage letters due to the accumulation of files and quite difficulty in storing and searching for files. The aim of creating this system is to make the work of employees and faculty easier by using a system that can control administration and increase the effectiveness of work and search for information so that it is more efficient and also makes it easier for students to submit administrative letters when submitting letters they want to submit. The method used in creating this system is literature study and interviews. This program was developed using the PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The results obtained from the research were implementing a web-based administration system in academic administration at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Riau Islamic University. With the administration system at the Faculty of Communication, employees and faculty can carry out processes in real time and with efficient processing time for all types of administration. Students find it easy to submit administrative letters and can see the administrative processing process.
