Abstract

he Hijau Lestari Terus Main Waste Bank is the only main Waste Bank owned by the City of Pekanbaru, aming to contribute to the reduction of waste entering the Pekanbaru landfill. However with a relatively low number of active customers, it may indicate challenges in waste reduction and also affect the performance of the waste bank. This research aimed to evaluated the performance of the Hijau Lestari Terus Main Waste Bank. The evaluation is necessary periodically to enhance the waste bank?s performance, ensuring its sustainable and affective operation in waste reduction. The approach used in this research was deductive, emplyoing descriptive evaluative research. Evaluative analysis, focusing on effectiveness, was assessed through the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) value, while efficiency was examined using the elasticity index results for the Hijau Lestari Terus Main Waste Bank. To analyze the waste reduction level, mass balance analysis was utilized, considering waste generation data, waste composition, and the achieved waste redustion at the Hijau Lestari Terus Main Waste Bank. The research findings revealed that waste reduction at the Hijau Lestari Terus Main Waste Bank was only 0.078% categorizing it as vey low. This could impact the waste bank's effectiveness, which is classified as low (<60%), while the efficiency level is considered high (>1). Therefore, it can be inferred that the performance of the Green Sustain Continual Waste Bank is moderate or not yet optimal, and it has not contributed significantly to the 30% waste reduction target according to the JAKSTARNAS standard.
