Abstract

Housing development needs to be accompanied by the provision of PSUs based on the provisions set by the government in order to create comfort for residents with a good residential environment. The quality of a residential environment refers to the extent to which an individual's or family's living environment includes physical, social, and environmental aspects that affect comfort, health, safety, and quality of life. Bumi Hijau housing has environmental quality conditions that are still relatively poor can be seen from the lack of housing facilities, infrastructure, and utilities based on housing characteristics. This study aims to determine the quality of the residential environment based on housing characteristics. The results of the study show that the socioeconomic characteristics of the community in Bumi Hijau Housing have a high level of education dominated by high school / vocational graduates with a percentage of 44.44%, Diploma / Strata- 1 with a percentage of 20.83% and the lowest is dominated by education who do not graduate from school with a percentage of 9.72%. In the type of work, it is known that the Bumi Hijau Housing community is dominated by workers such as traders with a percentage of 25%, followed by Farmer / Plantation workers with a percentage of 23.61%, and workers who work as civil servants with a percentage of 18.05%. Furthermore, at the income level, it is known that people in Bumi Hijau Housing have incomes below MSEs with a percentage of 79.1% and those who have incomes above MSEs of 20.83%. Environmental quality of housing characteristics in the Bumi Hijau Housing area is included in the category of good environmental quality with an average score of 70.
