Abstract
Trucks are widely used in industry as transport vehicles with small, medium to large capacities. Trucks are used for land travel, both within the city and outside the city. On trucks, the under-carriage has a very important role, namely as the legs of the truck or supporting the entire load of the truck. In reality, under-carriage components are the component parts that are most often damaged (tear) suddenly if the user does not pay attention to the amount of load placed on the truck. In analyzing this data, load variations that occur on trucks with ideal conditions, medium overload, and high overload show different service lives of under-carriage components. This data analysis uses data from a 260 HP type truck with ideal load conditions, medium overload and high overload and by considering the distribution of force loads on the front axle and rear axle to determine the age of each under-carriage component on the four axles. From the results of data analysis, trucks with ideal load conditions, medium overload and high overload have quite significant differences. Truck under-carriage components with ideal load conditions have a longer service life than trucks with medium overload and high overload conditions. In trucks with medium overload and high overload conditions, the service life of the truck under-carriage leaf-spring components is reduced by 1.10% and 1.24% on the front axle and by 1.17% and 1.41% on the rear axle. The service life of under-carriage components on the front axle and rear axle can be predicted based on the amount of load so that systematic replacement planning recommendations can be made. With suggestions for planning replacement of under-carriage components, the possibility of unplanned maintenance can be minimized and the maintenance plan can be optimized.
