Abstract

Tides are a natural phenomenon in which the sea level rises and falls periodically in deep-sea areas and coastal areas. During tides, changes in sea level can be observed during the day and night, or morning and evening. This phenomenon occurs regularly and is part of a natural cycle that affects the marine ecosystem and life around it. Initially, tidal observations were generally done manually by using measuring tanks around the area to be built. However, this manual observation requires considerable time and energy, and is prone to reading errors, especially at night. Therefore, to overcome these problems, a prototype design will be made that can detect sea water levels using Ultrasonic Sensors. This prototype aims to help users know the condition of sea water levels. The Ultrasonic Sensor detects sea water level and sends sensor data to the NodeMCU microcontroller and Arduino Uno R3 which can then be seen by the user in real time through a mobile web application. This information can be very useful in monitoring and managing sea water levels, such as in flood monitoring, ship navigation, and scientific research on climate change. The accuracy level of the sea water level monitoring prototype using the web-based ultrasonic sensor was obtained quite well. In 20 test data, only 1 error occurred. This shows that the prototype can provide accurate and reliable data in measuring sea water level.
