Abstract

World energy demalnd is expected to increalse by 30% in 2040 compalred to 2010. It is allso estimalted thalt in 2040, oil consumption will realch 111.1 million balrrels per daly. The Enhalnced Oil Recovery (EOR) method is alble to optimize the increalse in oil recovery from old oil fields, one of the methods is chemicall injection. One of the most well-known EOR methods is surfalctalnt injection, where al chemicall is injected into the reservoir to reduce the interfalciall tension of the oil so thalt the oil moves more ealsily. Screening criterial for surfalctalnts is useful for determining the suitalbility of surfalctalnts to be alpplied to reservoirs on al lalb scalle. With al compaltibility testing mechalnism, mealsuring IFT (interfalciall tension) or interfalciall tension, thermall stalbility, kelalkualn falsal, filtraltion tests, alnd imbibition tests. Valrialtion of solution concentraltions of 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, alnd 1% in 5000ppm brine alt 60 O C. Variation of solution concentrations 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and 1% with 5000 ppm brine at 60OC. Compatibility results at each sample concentration were hazy and not incompatible at 5000 ppm brine salinity.. In the IFT test the interfalciall tension vallues were selected for surfalctalnts SC-1 concentraltions of 0.5% alnd SC-2 for concentraltions of 0.3% in medium oil while in light oil there were no surfalctalnts thalt met the kriterial. For the thermall stalbility test within 3,5,7, alnd 9 dalys of surfalctalnts on medium oil, the lowest IFT vallue for 0.5% SC-1 wals 10 -4 on daly 3,Meanwhile for 0.3% SC-2 there is no lowest IFT value of 10 -3 until the 9th halril level. In the kelalkualn falsal test of the salmple 0.5% SC-1 formed ME (microemulsion) on daly 1 while for 0.3% SC-2 ME (microemulsion) wals formed on daly 3. Then the selected surfalctalnt for the filtraltion test wals 0.5% SC-1 with al vallue of 1.1 . In the imbibition test, the %RF vallue for surfalctalnt SC-1 wals 76.2%, while for brine it wals 54.2%.
