Abstract

Interpersonal Communication in Early Marriage Couples in Kiab Jaya Village, Bandar Sei Kijang District Ririn Eka Safitri 189110095 This study aims to find out how interpersonal communication is in early marriage couples in Kiab Jaya Village, Bandar Sei Kijang District. In this study using descriptive qualitative methods, namely in-depth interviews and direct observation of 6 people who are 3 married couples who marry early. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses Joseph A. Devito's Interpersonal Communication Model. Data analysis used in this study consisted of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation (display), and conclusions (coclusion drawing/verifying). The result of this study indicate that couples who marry at an early age can run smoothly and well and there is readiness for each partner in building a family and can communicate the differences between them with openness, empaty, support, positive feelings and equality which is the hallmark of a successful interpersonal communication.
