Abstract

Well X is located in the Langgak field which has been operating since 1978 where the type of artificial lifting used in this well is the Sucker Rod Pump (SRP). However, in july 2023, the well experienced production disruptions caused by damage to surface equipment due to aging pumps or aging problems. To optimize production in well X, an evaluation of the installed SRP pump is carried out and the replacement of the SRP pump to ESP is carried out, so that oil production and pump performance in well X are optimal. Based on the results of the evaluation of well X, the production rate is 513 BFPD, while the optimum rate of the well reached 555.8 BFPD, so from these results it can still be optimized to 42.8 BFPD BFPD, therefore the calculation of volumetric efficiency on the installed SRP pump is 41.7% and the value does not meet the ideal efficiency of >70, , then optimization of the SRP pump was carried out by changing the stroke length or stroke per minute on the pump to 10 SPM, the Volumetric Efficiency Value after the SPM change resulted in Efficiency of 58.4%, and still not in accordance with the ideal efficiency price, the decision was made to replace the SRP pump with an ESP pump. The design results of the X well ESP pump can be the type of pump that is suitable for use, namely the REDA D1050N 60 Hz / 3500 RPM pump with an efficiency of 52%. The type of motor that is suitable for use is a motor with series 357 (3.75 OD Motor), 7.5 HP, 415 Volt, 20 A. The size of the transformer is 25 KVA and the switchboard used is DPH 2. The type of cable used is 1/0 AL. The total voltage from the pump is 159.05 Volts while the supply voltage is 600 Volts.
