Abstract

Information technology, especially computer networks, has now become one of the fundamental things in all aspects. It is difficult to imagine the current era of information technology without the use of computer network technology. Almost everyone in the world needs an internet network for their daily needs. Fidelity wireless networks or what is usually called wifi are very familiar to our ears, because nowadays we can easily find them in various places such as offices, educational institutions or in the business sector where there are wireless networks. This research aims to compare the Quality of Service method or can be shortened to QoS between the Queue Tree, Simple Queue, PCQ, and HTB methods in bandwidth management. From the method tested, a good method will be applied based on the results of measuring QoS parameters such as Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay and Jitter. Bandwidth management that is better than the measured method will be chosen to be configured on the Mikrotik router which is applied to the network topology for smooth network access. This research is expected to provide a good understanding of the effectiveness of each bandwidth management method used on Mikrotik devices. Keywords : bandwidth, QoS, network, Mikrotik, computer.
