Abstract

Choosing a car that suits customers needs and preferences is often a challenge because of the many alternatives and criteria that must be considered. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for car selection using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as the main approach. The SAW method was chosen because of its ability to provide an assessment of alternatives based on the weight and value of each relevant criterion. The case study was conducted at Pas Motor, a car dealer, involving customers as respondents to determine the level of importance criteria using a Likert scale. The questionnaire results show a system satisfaction level of 84.93%, which shows that the SPK developed is able to provide recommendations that are relevant and in line with customer needs. The implementation of this system is expected to help customers choose cars more effectively and efficiently, as well as support dealers in improving customer service.
