Abstract
The most widely used vehicle by the community is motorcycles. People park their motorcycles in the parking area provided by each place. Most of the parking areas do not have helmet storage facilities and parking attendants cannot supervise at all times so that most people keep their helmets on motorcycles. In addition, parking attendants do not have time until night. It is targeted for irresponsible people as an opportunity to commit theft. People's habits include storing helmets in the rearview mirror, not storing helmets on motorcycle seats, not using helmet padlocks, and others. IoT has been used to meet the needs of society, especially communication and information technology. IoT is applied in various fields such as monitoring, environment, manufacturing, transportation, infrastructure and so on. The use of IoT for monitoring can also be applied to helmets. With the development of technology and science increasing, it must be used to overcome things like this. This problem can be solved with an automatic device that can detect helmet theft, which can be applied outdoors. IoT as a solution to the above problem, where this tool can be integrated online so that it is easy to get information that can be conveyed quickly, with the note that there must be an internet connection. The system to be built uses vibration sensors that function to detect vibrations and gps functions to detect helmet points by using the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as a controller and also data output from sensors that can send notifications to bots on Telegram to mobile users. With the aim of making it easier for the owner to know the whereabouts of the helmet when it is stolen. With the principle of working where if the helmet is stolen, the model will send a notification in the form of a location point to the owner's telegram.
