Abstract
Advances in Internet of Things (IoT) technology have increased the range of devices to connect to each other, creating more intelligent and efficient systems. In the mineral water industry, manual transportation of boxes has a high risk of loss and generates a lot of Labor. This study aims to design and implement a microcontroller-based mineral water counting tool that can improve efficiency and accuracy in the counting process. The development method used is prototyping with Arduino Uno as the main microcontroller. This tool utilizes infrared sensors to detect boxes passing through the conveyor and provide measurement results on a 16X2 LCD screen and an IoT-based display interface for real-time monitoring. The application of this tool aims to improve the quality of manual services and improve operational efficiency in mineral water plants. The conclusion of this study is that IoT-based box gauges are capable of providing accurate and real-time data, which can be used to carry out production inventory and analysis. However, there are some limitations, such as limited sensor range and data storage capacity that needs to be increased for larger-scale measurements. This tool is expected to be an innovative solution to the challenge of manual box repair in the mineral water industry as well as opening up new technological development opportunities in other sectors.
