Abstract

CV Gading, a shipping company, requires an information system to manage delivery data more efficiently and accurately. Currently, records are maintained manually, which can lead to errors and delays in tracking shipments. This study aims to design and implement a VB.NET-based information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The RAD method is chosen for its ability to accelerate development with rapid iterations and user involvement in every stage. This research includes requirements gathering, prototype design, construction, and implementation. The result is a desktop application that simplifies delivery data management and allows real-time tracking of shipment status. Testing indicates that this system can reduce record-keeping errors and improve efficiency compared to manual methods. In general, applying RAD successfully creates an effective and efficient solution for managing delivery data at CV Gading, making administrative processes and shipment tracking easier. It is expected that this application will continue to be developed to support the company’s future growth.
